The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Faris Al-Lami, Editor-in-Chief of the journal, along with associate editors and editorial staff. The attendees discussed comprehensive strategies to enhance the scientific quality of the journal and elevate its academic and research presence.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd39 Key discussion points included:<\/p>\n<p>The necessity for all published articles to be specialized and aligned with the core disciplines of the College of Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>Emphasis on referencing high-quality, peer-reviewed international research, in accordance with globally recognized publishing standards.<\/p>\n<p>Openness to contributions from international authors and researchers to improve the journal\u2019s academic rigor.<\/p>\n<p>Monitoring the commitment of faculty peer reviewers to their assigned timelines to ensure timely evaluations and improved publication efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd39 The meeting concluded with several key recommendations:<\/p>\n<p>Accelerate the journal\u2019s registration in global indexing databases and enhance its international visibility.<\/p>\n<p>Strengthen quality control through rigorous scientific review mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p>Activate the role of Section Editors to streamline editorial workflows, ensure scientific accuracy, and expedite the publication process.<\/p>\n<p>Adhere to the newly established journal management policies set forth by the College of Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>Adopt a high-level peer review policy with strict standards for both the quantity and quality of accepted articles.<\/p>\n<p>Encourage clinical faculty members, postgraduate board students, and undergraduate students to submit and publish their research.<\/p>\n<p>Facilitate financial and institutional support for the journal\u2019s development and long-term sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>In closing, Prof. Dr. Al-Alwani reaffirmed that the scientific journal represents a cornerstone of academic distinction for the college.
