In alignment with contemporary mechanisms of national accreditation and with the objective of implementing medical standards, the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, represented by Professor Dr. Hedef Elyassin and Assistant Professor Dr. Rand R. Hafidh, actively participated in a training course held by the National Council for the Accreditation of Medical Colleges in collaboration with the College of Medicine at the University of Sulaimani from September 13th to 14th, 2023.
The primary aim of this in-person course, preceded by a three-day virtual session, was to enhance the capabilities of nationally selected medical residents from various medical colleges across Iraq. The purpose was to prepare them for the significant national responsibilities associated with advancing medical education.
This initiative underscores the college's commitment to modernizing medical education and aligning it with international standards. It also signifies strong support for the broader objectives of medical colleges in Iraq, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in achieving national accreditation and adhering to global medical education standards.
