Organizing a solidarity stand in support of Palestinian people
This Thursday morning, the second of May, the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad organized a pro-people solidarity stand for the brotherly Palestinian people, in protest against the ongoing violations against children, women and civilians, and in support of their just demands to obtain their legitimate rights.
The solidarity stand, which was held in front of the college deanship building, was presented by Professor Dr. Ameen Al-Alwani, Dean of the College, assistant deans of the college, and a crowd of members of the teaching family, college employees, and students.
The activities of the vigil included reading Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the righteous martyrs in Palestine, and reciting speeches and poems that expressed the solidarity of the Iraqi medical academic family with the Palestinian brothers in their legitimate struggle against the occupying forces of tyranny and evil.
