Scholarly Rigor Committee – Simple Steps

Choose and download the correct Journal Rigor Form based on the journal type:

  1. Scopus Q1 & Q2 and Clarivate (ESCI) journals (no Impact Factor) — Download form (Q1 & Q2).
  2. Scopus Q3 & Q4 journals — Download form (Q3 & Q4).
  3. Local Iraqi journals listed on the Iraqi Academic Journals website: journal page on IASJ.
  4. Journals submitted for academic promotion (all research), according to the Central Scientific Promotions Committee (University of Baghdad) letter No. 12591 S dated 21/01/2025 — Download form (Promotion).

How to submit

  1. Fill in the form with the required information.
  2. Email it to: [email protected].

Attach these items (for published research)

  • If you are applying for academic promotion: attach the bulletin page from the Scientific Journals Portal of the Supervision & Scientific Evaluation Authority, together with the rigor forms, if the journal is listed as predatory or commercial. Check here: Scientific Journals Portal (predatory/commercial list).
  • Attach your Scopus Author Profile page to confirm the paper appears under your profile as of the publication date. (your Scopus profile link)

Note: There is no special form for papers published in international journals.
