Goal of the Course
- Describe the subcellular structure & cell divisions
- Discuss the early development from gametogenesis & fertilization
- Passing through 1st, 2nd & 3rd weeks of development in addition to Embryonic (organogenesis) & fetal periods ending with placental Development associated with clinical implications
- Describe the basic structure and functions of two of primary body Tissues (Epithelium & connective tissues) in addition to skin histology Together with their clinical correlations.
- Describe the basic structure of DNA and the concept of central DOGMA (DNA replication, transcription and translation).
- Introduce the epigenetics and cellular microenvironment

A. Cognitive and Theoretical Goals:

Infrastructure
- 8 weeks of histology: 10 theoretical hours of two large groups and 10 practical hours for 4 small groups
- 8 weeks for biology: 15 theoretical hours of two large groups and 8 practical hours for four small groups
- Embryology: 10 theoretical hours of two large groups and 10 practical hours for 4 small groups
