Registration for Qualification Equivalence Exam and Parallel Equivalence Channel

Registration is now open for candidates applying to the Qualification Equivalence Exam (attempt system) for the May 2026 attempt, as well as for the Parallel Equivalence Channel for the 2026/2027 academic year for graduates of non-Iraqi medical schools.

Qualification Equivalence Exam – May 2026 (Theoretical Part)

The upcoming qualification exam (attempt system) for graduates of non-Iraqi medical schools – theoretical part – for the May 2026 attempt will be held according to the following schedule:

  • Medicine: Thursday, May 14, 2026
  • Pediatrics: Thursday, May 21, 2026
  • Surgery: Tuesday, June 2, 2026
  • Obstetrics and Gynecology: Tuesday, June 9, 2026

Parallel Equivalence Channel – 2026/2027 Academic Year

The following instructions apply to the application link for the Parallel Equivalence Channel for graduates of non-Iraqi medical schools (parallel equivalence system for the 2026/2027 academic year).

Required Electronic Documents (JPEG Only)

Before applying, you must have clear electronic scans in JPEG format only of the following documents:

  • Personal photo (size not exceeding 3 megapixels).
  • Residential card, first side (size not exceeding 3 megapixels).
  • Residential card, second side (size not exceeding 3 megapixels).
  • Passport, main page only (size not exceeding 5 megapixels).
  • High school certificate, first page (size not exceeding 5 megapixels).
  • High school certificate, second page (authentication page) (size not exceeding 5 megapixels).
  • University order for opening a study file to take the qualification exam (size not exceeding 5 megapixels).
  • Marriage contract (only if the husband or wife is applying through the same parallel equivalence system link for the 2026/2027 academic year so that they may be assigned to the same college) (file size not exceeding 3 megapixels).
Important: All fields in the application form must be filled in. Students are allowed to register only once. Please ensure that all information is entered correctly before clicking “Submit.”

College Selection Rules

The student will have three options to choose the college where they wish to study during the parallel year. Please note the following:

  • College selection is based strictly on the geographical location of residence.
  • The only accepted proof of residence is the residential card of the student, one of their parents, or their spouse.
  • Students residing in the Kurdistan Region have the right to apply to any public medical college in Iraq, except:
    • Medical colleges in the Kurdistan Region.
    • The College of Medicine at Tikrit University.
  • The College of Medicine at Tikrit University is not included in the distribution.
  • Equivalence students residing in Salah al-Din Governorate may apply to other public colleges, excluding medical colleges in the Kurdistan Region, through the parallel equivalence channel.

Prerequisite: University Order

Possession of the university order to open a study file is a prerequisite for application.

  • If any document other than the university order is uploaded in its place, the application form will be considered void.
  • The student will not be allowed to apply again.

Application Validity, Errors, and Legal Notes

Form Completion and Errors

  • In the event of an error in the provided information, the form will be canceled.
  • Students are not permitted to submit a second application if the first one is voided due to errors or incorrect documentation.

Forged Documents

  • If any forged document is uploaded, the student's application will be canceled.
  • The student will be barred from applying later.
  • Legal action will be taken against the student.

Document Upload Requirements

Please adhere to the following when uploading documents:

  • The entire document must be clearly visible, including the document number and date.
  • Do not crop any part of the document.
  • If any part of the document is missing or not clearly visible, the application will be considered void due to incomplete documentation.

Parallel Equivalence Application Deadline

The application link for the parallel equivalence system for the 2026/2027 academic year will close on July 1, 2026.
