Qualification and Employment Unit

Definition

It is an administrative formation entitled Qualification and Employment Unit, concerned with communicating with college graduates and students in general and qualifying them for work through a set of programs and workshops. It is also concerned with building bridges of interaction between the student and the labor market represented by the government sector and the local and international private sector and marketing them to them, which makes this unit contribute to building an advanced society on which all state institutions rely to keep pace with practical developments and update the information provided to the student to develop his capabilities so that he can be employed in the future to serve the country.

General Objective

The goal of the unit is to help graduates and students develop and build their personal, scientific, practical, and applied capabilities and life skills in a manner consistent with the labor market, which gives them the opportunity to compete to obtain jobs after graduation in both the government and private sectors locally or internationally and to work on spreading the culture of the importance of the private sector and reducing the burden on the public sector.

The unit's strategy is to prepare specialized studies that contribute to identifying the strengths and weaknesses of graduates and their educational path and identifying their areas of opportunity in front of the labor market.

Vision of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit

Developing and building the scientific, practical, and personal skills and capabilities of students in line with the local and international requirements of the labor market.

Objectives of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit

  • Preparing scientific studies on curricula that contribute to their development to ensure their suitability for the labor market.
  • Communicating with the scientific and cognitive development taking place in the world.
  • Introducing participants to the importance of the training unit.
  • Introducing the participant to the extent and strength of the influence of the trainee student on the reputation of the institution and the extent of its production.
  • Communicating with the scientific departments, branches, and scientific units within the college to obtain a working paper that includes the labor market of each specialization within the public and private sectors.
  • Preparing and implementing training programs and workshops for students and graduates in line with the labor market.
  • Opening channels of communication with government institutions and the private sector and building bridges of communication between graduates of various specializations and the labor market.
  • Following up on students after their appointment in government institutions and the private sector and evaluating the extent of benefit from their specializations.

  • Creating an electronic database within the student and graduate follow-up system

Responsibilities of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit

  • Preparing electronic forms for students or graduates to submit to participate in the rehabilitation programs.
  • Preparing databases for students and graduates wishing to participate in the rehabilitation and employment programs.
  • Preparing databases for institutions and private sector companies that include the institution's activity, work locations, required specializations, and contact points.
  • Preparing and implementing workshops and courses for the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit.
  • Preparing and implementing scientific training programs for students and graduates (practical application of scientific and academic aspects) in coordination and cooperation with public and private sector institutions.
  • Preparing seminars, conferences, and workshops that bring together students and graduates with the labor market as well as the teaching and educational staff with the aim of exchanging ideas.
  • Preparing educational seminars and workshops that are consistent with the labor market for the purpose of adopting professional methods for selecting graduates in a manner consistent with the nature of the institution's work.
  • Preparing statistics that provide indicators on the number of trainees, their specializations, and the percentage of those employed.
  • Following up on students after their appointment in state and private sector institutions with the aim of setting indicators that help in developing curricula as well as stating the most in-demand specializations in the labor market.
