- Physiology (4 theoretical hours): Physiologic processes of the GIT, GIT movement and metabolic process.
- Biochemistry (9 theoretical hours, 6 practical hours): Understanding chemical reactions and hormones involved in the GIT, Acid secretion, Hb destruction.
- Embryology (2 theoretical hours): Digestive system embryology.
