Goal of the Course
- To enable the students to make research on what they observe/watch during clinical sessions and make their study, finding future possible solutions/developments.
- To enable students to make research drafts within teams.
Outcome of this Module
A. Cognitive and Theoretical Goals:
- Review of research literature.
- Review of research methods.
- Review important statistics in conducting research.
B. Skills:
- Choose the research topic and research method that suits the topic.
- Choose the sample and its size.
- How to choose or construct the questionnaire.
- How to make a research proposal.
Methods of Learning
- Interactive activities for research consultation on INLE college website.
- Questions and discussions with the supervisors.
- Questions and discussions with the supervisor committee in the Community Medicine department.
Methods of Assessment
- Students provide draft projects at the end of the second semester - the third stage.
- A committee will be formed to evaluate research drafts involving tutors in the Family and Community Medicine branch and anyone who wishes from other scientific departments. This committee aims to evaluate research drafts and approve the research method and methods proposed to collect information, conduct the necessary statistics, and then make any comments for correction of the draft and issuing the necessary decision (approval to conduct the research, approval to conduct the research but later required corrections, rejection of the research draft).
- Result – fulfilled / not fulfilled.
