Goal of the Course

  • This module deals with the Arabic language and helps students proofread their original language.
  • Learning the Arabic language and using it correctly enables students to use it properly during their professional lives after their graduation from our esteemed college, especially graduates of the English Department who will work in the field of translation from and into the two aforementioned languages.
  • The process of understanding and realizing knowledge of the Arabic language data through the exercises presented to the student.
  • The student will acquire mental skills regarding grammatical passages through the study of literary texts.

Outcome of this Module

A. Cognitive and Theoretical Goals:

  • To know, recognize, and proofread the following:
    • Linguistic errors
    • Verbal errors
    • Spelling errors
    • Typographical errors
    • Systematic errors
    • Spelling errors

B. Skills:

  • Proofreading mistakes
  • Correct pronunciation of letters
  • Valid Arabic writings
  • Assessing books and evaluating them

  • Encouraging the students to attend scientific lectures.

  • Teaching the student the foundations of the Arabic language and how to communicate with other scientific curricula.
  • Enabling students to obtain the knowledge and understanding to work on writing research.
  • Imagining to students the methods of drafting administrative books and how to respond to them.
  • Enabling students to gain knowledge and understanding by writing literary reports.
  • Enabling students to obtain the knowledge and understanding to diagnose linguistic errors.
  • Informing the student about the basics of creating the Arabic answer.
  • Enabling the student to visualize and manage research and reports.

  • One week of 2 hours of learning about Badr Shakir and Nazik Al-Malaaka through memorizing
  • One week of 2 hours of learning about Al-Jawahri through memorizing
  • One week of 2 hours of learning about Al-Mutanabi through memorizing
