The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad continues its confident strides in reconstruction and scientific development, with the renovation of the Chemistry Building nearing completion. This project reflects an institutional vision based on continuity and the enhancement of the educational and laboratory environment according to advanced scientific standards.
The completed work includes finishing all floors, walls, and suspended ceilings, in addition to implementing modern lighting systems and ceiling fans, installing laboratory benches and glass partitions, and completing the technical details of the laboratories to meet the requirements of medical education and postgraduate studies.
The completion rates for the Chemistry Building laboratories are as follows:
*Undergraduate Studies Laboratory on the first floor, with a total area of 260 square meters, is 80% complete. Work on this laboratory began approximately a year ago, based on the order to form the implementation committee.
*Postgraduate Studies Laboratory (1) on the ground floor, with a total area of 385 square meters, is also 80% complete, within the same timeframe.
*The Graduate Studies Laboratory (2), located on the ground floor, has a total area of 270 square meters and is 65% complete, with work continuing to finalize its technical requirements.
This project underscores the commitment of the College of Medicine at Baghdad University to providing a robust scientific environment that supports research and education, and keeps pace with academic accreditation and sustainable development, thus solidifying the college’s position as a prestigious scientific institution steadily moving towards the future.
