The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad welcomed a delegation from the Counseling Units Monitoring Committee, affiliated with the University Psychological Counseling Division at the Center for Educational and Psychological Research. The delegation, comprised of Assistant Lecturer Hadeel Fadhil and Ms. Haifa Mohammed, was received by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ameen Abdul-Hassan Al-Alwany, and the Head of the Psychological Counseling Unit, Dr. Marwa Jamil. The purpose of the visit was to review the unit’s operational mechanisms and the services it provides to students.

The visit included discussions on the most prominent challenges facing students and ways to enhance psychological and educational support within the college. It also addressed the needs of the Counseling Unit and the development of its work environment to improve counseling services, strengthen the supportive university environment, and maintain the psychological and academic well-being of students.

The Dean of the College emphasized the college’s commitment to supporting counseling programs and activating the role of psychological and educational units, in line with the college’s humanitarian and academic mission to care for students and provide a stimulating and safe learning environment.
