As part of its academic efforts to develop assessment methods and enhance the quality and integrity of the educational process, the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad conducted midterm examinations in semester-based courses for second-, third-, and fifth-year students. For the first time, these examinations were administered in a centralized format.

The adoption of this approach aims to standardize academic assessment criteria, promote the principles of fairness and equal opportunities among students, and provide an objective measure of their academic achievement and understanding of the prescribed course content.

This initiative reflects the College’s commitment to modernizing its educational and assessment systems in alignment with the requirements of contemporary medical education and the standards of academic quality assurance and accreditation. It also seeks to enhance students’ academic competencies and contribute to preparing scientifically competent and professionally qualified medical graduates capable of serving society and healthcare institutions.
