As part of the preparations for the upcoming academic year, the esteemed Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. Al-Alwani, held a meeting on Sunday, the 3rd of September of this year, with the faculty members of the Department of Medicine at the college. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Mu'taz Fuad Hussein, the head of the department, and Professor Dr. Mohammed Wahib Salman, the department's coordinator. During the meeting, several aspects were discussed, including the requirements for undergraduate studies and the process of training students in the teaching hospital within the Medical City. This includes direct coordination and communication between the department's professors and the medical staff at the hospital. The meeting also emphasized the importance of supporting the scientific aspect of the department and providing all the necessary requirements and needs to sustain the scientific achievements of the medical department. This includes highlighting the scientific rigor of research conducted by department researchers and coordinating with external professors for the publication of such research. Furthermore, the meeting discussed the establishment of external relationships and partnerships with prestigious international universities. In conclusion, the esteemed Dean of the college listened to the opinions and development proposals of the professors. It was recommended to hold regular monthly meetings to discuss all developments, both positive and negative, and to find suitable solutions, particularly in terms of the academic aspect for undergraduate and postgraduate students..
