In the morning of August 17, 2023, the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad discussed four distinguished studies conducted by postgraduate students specializing in echocardiography of the heart and arteries in the Medical Education Unit Hall at the college.

Research Topics:
  1. The Effect of Pregnancy on Atrial Electromechanical Delay: Echocardiographic Parameters, presented by Dr. Noor Daoud Salim, received an excellent rating.
  2. Assessment of Contraction Fraction in Patients with Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillators and Reduced Ejection Fraction for Secondary Prevention, presented by Dr. Sarah Riyadh Nafea, received a very good rating.
  3. Assessment of Left Ventricular Function in Breast Cancer Patients Receiving Anthracycline-Trastuzumab at Baghdad Cancer Center, presented by Dr. Noor Al-Huda Saadoun Khleif, received an excellent rating.
  4. Results of Right Ventricular Echocardiography in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation, presented by Dr. Mohammed Adnan Hussein, received an excellent rating.

These studies were described as unique and unprecedented in the field of academic research. They represent a new scientific achievement that adds to the College of Medicine's track record of scientific accomplishments. These contributions contribute to the accuracy of diagnosis and treatment for patients and help reduce the number of patients for whom echocardiography technology is used to diagnose their medical conditions.
