The Faculty of Medicine wins first place in the University of Baghdad Chess Championship
The Faculty of Medicine won the first place in the University of Baghdad chess championship held at the Faculty of Information at the University of Baghdad in Al-Jadriya, which was sponsored by the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, and in cooperation with the Iraqi Chess Federation on Wednesday, October 18.
The championship title for students was won by Bashir Ahmed Hamoudi, a fourth-stage student at the faculty, who was crowned with the gold medal. The championship was held as part of the annual program of the Department of Student Activities at the University of Baghdad and was judged by an international team headed by the Director of the Iraqi Chess Federation.
It is worth mentioning that the students of the Faculty of Medicine have a long history in achieving many achievements and winning titles and university championships in sports and intellectual games, especially chess in past academic seasons, thanks to the paternal care of the Dean of the Faculty and its adoption of student activities and meeting their requirements.
