On February 12, 2025, the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the championship title in the university's tennis tournament for both male and female categories.
The decisive matches took place at the Adhamiya complex, where student Amjad Samir Ibrahim emerged victorious in the men's category, while student Istabraq Thamer Hassan claimed the title in the women's category. Their outstanding performances ensured their advancement to the major university-level competitions.
The tournament witnessed fierce competition among various colleges, but the College of Medicine excelled by securing first place in both divisions. In the men's category, they triumphed over the Colleges of Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine, while in the women's category, they outperformed the Colleges of Fine Arts and Media.
