In order to achieve the basic components of university library services and encourage scientific research at the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, and within the process of the reconstruction and rehabilitation campaign for the college’s infrastructure, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ameem’ Al-Alwani, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Oday Taher Al-Hashemi, this evening, Wednesday, the tenth From this January, he made a field visit to the library and free education division at the college. The Dean of the College met with the associates working in the library and was briefed on the progress of scientific services provided by the library administration to teachers, students and researchers in the medical fields, and urged them to exert their utmost efforts to continuously provide sources of information and scientific research to library patrons. During the visit, the efforts of the technical teams working in the electrical and air conditioning maintenance sector for the library halls were also reviewed to ensure the best level of equipment for the building. The Library of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad is the largest and oldest medical library in Iraq. It was established with the founding of the college in 1927 and is considered the mother library for all the libraries of the medical group that were established later. The library is located in the Bab al-Muadham area within the medical complex, which includes the College of Medicine and the College of Dentistry affiliated with the University of Baghdad, as well as the Iraqi Ministry of Health and a number of government hospitals.
