The visiting guest expresses his great admiration for the advanced academic level of the college students compared to their peers studying in European universities. The Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ameen Al-Alwani, welcomed the Head of the Department of Specialized Surgery at the St. Burke Teaching Hospital at the University of Leipzig, Germany, Professor Dr. Amer Hamza, during a visit, the second of its kind, to the college, today, Sunday, the third of this March. The guest’s visit included his attendance at a scientific lecture in the specialty of urology on surgical treatment and the complete perspective of neurotic bladder spasms in children, presented to sixth-year students by two teaching staff, Professor Dr. Saad Dakhil and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Basil Ismail. The guest expressed his great admiration for the advanced scientific level of the Baghdad medical students, which he described as excellent, surpassing the levels of students studying in European universities. The visit also discussed the coordination of training work for students of the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad in the Surgery department of Urology in German hospitals, which comes within the framework of an agreement that will be prepared at the official level of the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad and the Universities of Leipzig and Halle. The agreement, which is scheduled to enter into force soon, includes the field of medical research in the specialty of urology, as well as developing communication among future doctors.
