Under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ameen Al-Alwani, the first meeting of the local members of the editorial board of the College of Medicine Journal was held on the morning of Thursday, the twenty-eighth of this month. The meeting was held in the presence of the Assistant Dean of the College of Medicine and the Journal’s Editor-in-Chief, Professor Dr. Faris Al-Lami, the Editorial Director, and the editorial board’s assistant team. The meeting began by welcoming the new body members and listening to the attendees’ suggestions with the aim of developing the work of the journal. The meeting discussed the importance of international openness and involving the world’s researchers by publishing their scientific research in the college’s journal and participating in evaluating solid research in the journal as one of the college’s most important priorities in raising the level of the journal and ensuring its registration in international databases. The meeting reviewed the changes that took place on the journal’s website and its editorial policies, including receiving, accepting, and rejecting research, and the latest updates to the publishing rules, which are in line with the requirements of academic institutions, databases, and global databases, in addition to the latest and important update in registration in the OASPA database. The attendees discussed the importance of the international repositories in which registration was achieved through the efforts of the former editors-in-chief of the magazine. At the conclusion of the meeting, the members of the editorial board expressed their willingness to take the necessary steps to fulfill all requirements for submission to the international repositories. The management and members of the editorial board were praised for their exceptional efforts to advance and develop the journal.
