Minister of Higher Education Grants Appreciation Letter

On the occasion of achieving first place in the Schimago global ranking, His Excellency, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Na'im Al-Aboudi, has granted a letter of thanks and appreciation to the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, and the head and members of the faculty in the Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences Department. This is in recognition of their dedicated efforts and relentless pursuit in obtaining the top position in the Schimago global ranking.

This recognition is a token of gratitude and appreciation for the scientific achievement accomplished by the College, which contributes to elevating the name of our country, Iraq, in the international scientific community.

On this occasion, the College of Medicine extended its congratulations to the head and members of the faculty in the Forensic Medicine Department during the nineteenth session of the College Council, held on Monday, the twelfth of June.

The Schimago global ranking is one of the goals of the governmental program under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It is of no less importance than the Shanghai Ranking from China and represents 50% of the total points required for inclusion in the QS Ranking and the Times Higher Education Ranking, both of which are recognized in the Scopus database.
