The esteemed Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abdul Dahd, commended the efforts of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad and those responsible for managing this prestigious academic institution with a rich history. He praised their success in achieving various tangible results, including conducting the first and second part of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) fellowship examination. This occurred during the visit of the Deputy Minister to the College of Medicine and his meeting with the College's esteemed Dean, Dr. Al-Alwani. Dr. Haider Abdul Dahd was briefed on the preparations for the second part (MRCP Part 2) of the Royal College of Physicians fellowship examination, which was held in the Kennedy Hall in the Basic Science Building at the College on Wednesday, the 6th of September of this year, coinciding with the official holiday in government institutions. The Deputy Minister emphasized the Ministry of Higher Education's support for all international examinations and encouraged their conduct within Iraq. The visit also included discussions on various scientific topics, including the status of postgraduate studies at the College and the encouragement to open postgraduate programs in new disciplines. Furthermore, it emphasized the support of medical education for its effective role in shaping and building the ideal physician. Additionally, it focused on establishing partnerships with prestigious international institutions and universities for scientific research, recognizing the importance and uniqueness of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad.
