The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad held its periodic meeting of the Curriculum Committee, chaired by the Dean, Professor Dr. Ameen Abdul-Hassan Al-Alwany, and attended by the Head of the Curriculum Committee, Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Jawad, and committee members. This meeting was part of the college’s ongoing efforts to develop the educational process and enhance its outcomes to meet international standards.

The meeting was held in accordance with the directives of the Dean’s office to discuss several key topics related to updating and developing the curriculum.

The agenda included approving the clinical skills and communication skills curriculum, discussing the examination plan for all academic levels for the upcoming year, and exploring the mechanism for adopting core clinical problems and how to integrate them into the curriculum for all levels, thereby strengthening the integration between theoretical and practical aspects.

During the meeting, the Dean emphasized the importance of adopting modern methods in medical education and improving the curriculum to produce physicians with advanced clinical and communication skills, capable of meeting the demands of the healthcare system both locally and internationally.

This meeting comes as part of a series of developmental steps taken by the Deanship of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, in confirmation of its leadership in modernizing medical education and enhancing the quality of its outputs.
