The College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad held its fifteenth council meeting, chaired by its Dean, Professor Dr. Ameen Abdul-Hassan  Al-Alwany, and attended by council members, to discuss a number of academic and administrative matters in light of the intensive preparations for the final exams.

During the meeting, the Dean emphasized the need to intensify efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations, stressing the importance of providing an ideal exams environment characterized by organization, accuracy, and transparency, in accordance with the approved educational quality standards.

The Dean also directed the monitoring of the readiness of the exams halls, the provision of logistical requirements, and the strengthening of coordination between the academic departments and exams committees to ensure the smooth running of the exams.

In a related context, the council emphasized the importance of student discipline and adherence to exams regulations and guidelines, while also stressing the need to instill academic values ​​and scientific integrity, reflecting the level of awareness and responsibility among the students of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, as they represent the core of the future medical workforce.

The meeting included honoring the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Majid Al-Zaidy, on the occasion of the completion of his term. The Dean and members of the council commended his significant efforts and dedication in performing his duties, highlighting his responsibility, discipline, and sincerity in administrative work. They emphasized that his contributions represent a valuable addition to the college’s progress.

The meeting concluded with an affirmation of the commitment to continue working as a unified team and enhancing institutional performance to achieve the college’s aspirations for advancing medical education and serving the community.
