Toward sustainable development and a better health future

In an effort to achieve sustainable development and a better health future, the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, organized the first scientific conference on echocardiography in Iraq. The conference, held in collaboration with the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, and Iraqi scientific associations, took place on October 27, 2023. The opening ceremony was attended by esteemed guests including the Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhaad, and the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Munir Hameed Al-Saadi, along with other university presidents and deans of medical colleges in Iraq.

During his speech at the opening ceremony, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ameen Abdul-Hasan Manea Al Alwany, the Dean of the College of Medicine, emphasized the college's commitment to creating an educational environment that meets the needs of students and establishes partnerships with local and international universities and scientific associations. He highlighted the importance of quantitative measurement methods in biomedical research and the college's dedication to public health. The conference aimed to facilitate educational opportunities, particularly for postgraduate students, through scientific lectures and free workshops. The ultimate goal is to promote a healthy life and enhance overall well-being.
