A regular meeting of the Curriculum Committee was held at the Medical Education Unit at the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, this morning, Monday, December 11, 2023, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ameen Al-Alwani, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Haifa Salman Al-Hadithi. During the meeting, which was chaired by Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Jawad, the curricula for all academic levels, from the first stage to the sixth, were reviewed and their conformity with the college policy, the number of hours and units, and the reality of actual teaching therein. After extensive discussions, the committee reached partial amendments to match the actual teaching hours. At the conclusion of the meeting, the members of the committee agreed to continue the discussion on some of the points in this field and present its studies in this regard, leading to medical educational curricula that match global medical scientific development.
