As part of a series of scientific and pioneering achievements for the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad in the year 2023, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced in a statement that the mother of the Iraqi medical colleges topped the results of the classification of Iraqi medical colleges for the past year. This completed version of this classification by the Ministry of Higher Education included the sequence of Iraqi medical colleges, during which the Baghdad College of Medicine won first place with an estimate exceeding 94%, for its scientific achievements achieved during the past year. The indicators and criteria for the Iraqi classification of universities are based on standards for measuring institutional performance in the management of academic institutions, their faculty members, and their scientific and research activities published in reputable scientific journals. It should be noted that during the past year, the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad achieved multiple achievements at various levels, including obtaining full accreditation for the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges, and organizing in ternational scientific conferences and seminars specialized in medical fields. The college also provided medical innovations and patents that helped improve diagnosis and treatment for patients in our health institutions, and contributed to the exchange of scientific expertise and the transfer of medical knowledge with academic institutions and Iraqi medical departments in order to improve the quality of the educational process and improve the university environment. *An immortal scientific biography...and distinguished generations coming...that is Baghdad medicine*.
