Sustainable personal and professional development for teaching staff in a workshop at the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad The Medical Education Unit at the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad organized the workshop entitled “Personal and Professional Development” in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ameen Al-Alwani, and the Assistant Dean of the College for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Haifa Salman Al-Hadithi. The teaching workshop was presented at the college by Professor Dr. Hedef Dhafer Al-Yassin on Thursday morning, the twenty-second of this month, in the medical education hall. The workshop aimed to develop the skills of faculty members to maintain the distinguished level of sustainability and high performance consistent with the college curriculum, especially in light of achieving international accreditation. The workshop discussed several topics, including a detailed explanation of the so-called Compass Model for planning faculty development programs, in addition to developing skills in the fields of teaching and leadership, as well as scientific research. The workshop included a short break, followed by discussions among the participants about ways to develop oneself in modern ways, adopting simulation methods in the educational process, and overcoming obstacles in it.
