A delegation from the High Commission for Human Rights visits the College of Medicine in Baghdad and sets a program for academic and training cooperation
The College of Medicine in Baghdad received today a delegation from the High Commission for Human Rights in Iraq, within the framework of enhancing joint cooperation between the two institutions. This visit comes to emphasize the importance of integrating human rights concepts into higher education, and creating an academic environment based on respect for human rights.
During the visit, a special work program was developed targeting the college students, focusing on integrating laws related to human rights into curricula and student activities. Another program was also designed for faculty members, with the aim of enhancing their ability to teach and apply human rights principles in various medical specialties.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Medicine welcomed this step, stressing that the college always seeks to cooperate with national and international institutions to enhance academic quality and develop its curricula in a manner that keeps pace with modern developments and meets the needs of society.
This visit comes as part of a series of efforts aimed at enhancing awareness of human rights in academic and health institutions in Iraq, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and improving health services provided to citizens.
