An Institutional Roadmap to Enhance Planning and Ensure Quality Outcomes
In a significant achievement added to the record of accomplishments of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, the college has published the first edition of its College of Medicine Policy Book. This book serves as an institutional roadmap, organizing academic and administrative work processes and fostering a culture of planning, monitoring, and performance measurement.
This pioneering initiative at the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, aligns with the higher education sector’s focus on strategic planning, governance, and ensuring quality outcomes. It was undertaken with the direct support and guidance of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Ameen Abdul-Hassan Al-Alwany, reflecting his commitment to establishing organized institutional work, unifying visions and procedures, and laying clear foundations for future development.
The book aims to support a more efficient academic and administrative environment by defining general policies that regulate work, strengthening mechanisms for continuous monitoring, and linking plans to outcomes. This will contribute to improving educational, research, and service performance, and solidify the College of Medicine’s position as one of the leading academic institutions in medical education in Iraq.
The college affirmed that the publication of this book represents a significant step in its institutional documentation and quality assurance efforts. It embodies the college’s vision of building a work system based on scientific planning, organized implementation, and continuous evaluation, ultimately leading to outcomes that meet the requirements of development and academic accreditation.
