The meeting aimed to enhance academic development and elevate medical education.

The Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ameen Abdul-Hassan  Al-Alwany, held a meeting with the head and members of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at the Dean’s office on Wednesday, July 1st, to discuss future plans and developmental visions that support academic and scientific work.

The meeting addressed several scientific and technical topics related to the department’s work, primarily the mechanisms for organizing committee work and the academic tasks assigned to faculty members, in order to enhance performance efficiency and achieve the goals of the educational process.

The attendees also discussed ways to develop undergraduate and postgraduate study and training programs, emphasizing the adoption of modern scientific standards in medical education and clinical training, keeping pace with the rapid advancements in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

The meeting also included a discussion of preparations for the upcoming Obstetrics and Gynecology Conference, scheduled for the next academic year, which will serve as a scientific platform to bring together expertise and support the exchange of knowledge and scientific research.

This meeting is part of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad’s approach to strengthening communication with scientific departments and supporting developmental initiatives that raise the level of medical education and academic research.
