A scientific workshop on the sidelines of the 19th International Conference organized by the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, a workshop titled "The Use of Freezing Technology in Respiratory Interventions" was presented by Dr. Mustafa Namaa Abdul Ali, a professor at the College of Medicine, in the internal lecture hall of Baghdad Teaching Hospital. The workshop was attended by a number of specialists, board and respiratory diploma students, a selection of researchers and faculty members of the college, as well as a number of professors in the city's medical department.

The workshop aimed, through its organization, to raise awareness about respiratory interventions and their importance in respiratory medicine, and to encourage practical training in this type of medical technology that ensures keeping up with modern developments in this field, as well as making recommendations to the Iraqi Ministry of Health to provide the necessities of this type of intervention.

The workshop included a theoretical introduction to freezing technology, along with real medical cases that included radiological examinations and endoscopic interventions.

The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations calling for the necessity of introducing this type of intervention as modern technologies in medical practice within educational centers, and informing the Iraqi Ministry of Health about the importance of providing the necessary equipment for surgical operations and diagnosis using freezing technology.
