Dean of the College Receives Copy of Al-Diwan’s Book, “Kadhim in the Struggle of Politics”

The Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Ameen Abdul-Hassan  Al-Alwany, received Professor Dr. Jawad Kadhim Al-Diwan, Professor of Community Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, at the Dean’s office. This academic and cultural visit reflected the strong ties between the leading figures in the college’s scientific community.

During the visit, Professor Dr. Jawad Kadhim Al-Diwan presented the Dean with a copy of his book, “Kadhim in the Struggle of Politics,” published by Sumerian Publishing House. The book documents aspects of the Iraqi experience through pivotal political and historical moments, blending autobiography with political analysis.

Professor Dr. Ameen Abdul-Hassan  Al-Alwany praised Dr. Al-Diwan’s scholarly and cultural contributions, emphasizing that the academic expertise within the College of Medicine extends beyond medical and scientific contributions to include intellectual and cultural endeavors that document national memory and enrich Iraqi literature.

Professor Dr. Jawad Kadhim Al-Diwan is one of the most prominent professors at the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad. A graduate of the College of Medicine, he specialized in community medicine and has a distinguished academic and scientific career, marked by numerous research publications in local and international medical journals. He is also actively involved in writing and publishing on public affairs and Iraqi political history.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their appreciation for this scientific and cultural exchange, emphasizing the importance of supporting authorship and publishing and encouraging intellectual initiatives that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and enhance the university’s academic standing.
