In an effort to strengthen integration between academic and healthcare institutions, the Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ameen Abdul-Hassan  Al-Alwany, visited Baghdad Teaching Hospital at the Medical City complex on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. During his visit, he met with the hospital’s director, Dr. Ghassan Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Tamimi, in his office to discuss prospects for joint scientific and academic cooperation.

The meeting included discussions on mechanisms to develop clinical training programs for college students, particularly during the summer break, and to facilitate their admission to the hospital. This aims to provide an advanced training environment that contributes to developing their clinical skills and enhancing their professional readiness.

Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation between the College of Medicine and Baghdad Teaching Hospital, in line with the College of Medicine’s commitment to improving the quality of medical education and preparing physicians with the necessary scientific and practical skills to meet the needs of the healthcare sector and serve the community.
