On Wednesday morning, March 25, 2026, Professor Dr. Ameen  Al-Alwany, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, inspected the college’s public safety measures during a field visit that included several educational and service facilities and buildings, following the heavy rains that swept across the country.

During the visit, the Dean reviewed the infrastructure and rainwater drainage systems, directing the engineering and service teams to intensify their efforts to carry out urgent maintenance work and address any obstacles that might affect the smooth operation of the college or the safety of students and staff.

He also emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring of the condition of buildings, corridors, and courtyards, and taking preventative measures to maintain a safe and stable university environment. He affirmed the college administration’s commitment to providing the best possible academic and service conditions in accordance with public safety standards and the requirements for the continuity of official operations.
