Under the auspices of the Deanship of the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, the Internal Medicine department, and within the activities of the Continuing Education Unit, organized the scientific lecture entitled “updates in Thyroid and Adrenal Glands diseases” in, Tuesday, the twenty-sixth of December, in the hall of the Medical Branch in Baghdad Teaching Hospital. The lecture was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ameen Al-Alwani, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Oday Taher Al-Hashemi, the Head of the Continuing Education Unit, Professor Dr. Ghazi Farhan Al-Hajji, and a group of college teachers and students. The lecture, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Sena Aziz from the University of Washington, addressed a number of topics, including methods for diagnosing benign and malignant nodules in the thyroid gland, available treatments for them, and internationally agreed guidelines. The lecture aimed to share and review the most important findings of modern medicine in diagnosing diseases of the thyroid and adrenal glands, in addition to the desire to work on building joint academic cooperation relations between the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad and the University of Washington. At the conclusion of the lecture, the Dean of the College presented a letter of thanks and appreciation and a shield of excellence and leadership to the presenter, in appreciation of the valuable scientific lecture she presented, and wishing her success in her field of medical work..
