On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the month of devotion and the Holy Quran, and under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ameen Abdul-Hassan  Al-Alwany,

the Student Activities Division – Cultural Activities Unit, in cooperation with second- and third-year students, held a blessed Quranic gathering to recite the first half of the nineteenth part of the Holy Quran.

The gathering took place in Ibn Al-Haytham Hall on Monday, March 9, 2026, amidst a uniquely spiritual and faith-filled atmosphere that reflected the college’s commitment to instilling religious values ​​and strengthening students’ connection to the Holy Quran, especially during the blessed month.

A number of students from the college took turns reciting the blessed verses: Muhammad Baqir, Mustafa Zafar, Al-Amir Wasim, and Mustafa Firas. Students Muhammad Alaa and Sajjad Hazem assisted in the preparation and organization, delivering beautiful recitations that imbued the gathering with an atmosphere of reverence and contemplation.

This activity is part of a series of cultural and religious events that the College of Medicine is keen to organize during the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of developing the spiritual and cultural aspects of students and strengthening the spirit of participation and harmony among them within the context of the Holy Quran.

The event was well-received by the attendees, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in reviving a spiritual atmosphere on campus and promoting the values ​​of ethics and knowledge derived from the Holy Quran.
