Based on its humanitarian and social responsibility, and under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ameen Abdul-Hassan Maneh Al-Alwany, the College of Medicine contributed to supporting the procession organized by the University of Baghdad to receive pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) heading to the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the Arba’een pilgrimage.
The support included providing quantities of drinking water, juices, refreshments, and other supplies, as well as allocating a vehicle to transport the supplies to the procession site. Faculty members and students of the College participated in this effort, reflecting the spirit of cooperation, generosity, and service to the pilgrims.
This initiative embodies the College of Medicine’s commitment to actively participating in commemorating the Husseini rituals, reinforcing the values of solidarity, altruism, and community service, and drawing inspiration from the noble principles exemplified by the revolution of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). We ask God Almighty to accept this blessed work, to grant success to all in serving the pilgrims of the Master of Martyrs, and to preserve Iraq and its people in security and peace.
